Jason was born and raised in BC and has called Vancouver home since 2004.

Jason’s has been in public service for over 15 years. He has a policing background in general duty policing, school liaison, National Security Enforcement as well as Federal government.

As a Park Board Commissioner, Jason will focus on building relationships with the community to ensure parks and recreation are aligned with the community’s wants and needs. Jason will utilize his policing background to focus on community safety in parks and recreation facilities.

Jason can often be seen biking all over Vancouver or working out at a local park. His passion and drive to make parks and recreation accessible and sustainable for all Vancouverites stems from the belief that parks and recreation contribute greatly to the quality of life in a community by providing a place where people go to get healthy and stay fit.

Jason is an action-oriented person who prefers to take a direct approach to facilitating and motivating positive growth and change. Jason believes that parks and recreation programs contribute to the health of children, youth, adults, and seniors of all abilities.
